So Mr. Rodgers died this morning. He was the grand marshal at the Rose Parade this year. He died of cancer that they didn't even discover until after that. But new years was only two months ago. Sometimes things can happen so quickly.

But on a lighter note, I know what I'm going to get Tom for our anav. Sort of. I mean, I know a part. I'm still not compleatly sure I can pull it off. We'll see. Being poor sucks. If I had a little more money (precisely $15 more), I could be sure. Unfort....

Its rainy and I love it. Except its not going to be this weekend and it's not going to be tomorrow and Lek's gonna go snowbording on dirt again so he can show up to work on Tuesday with crutches to claim his pity date. And then Tom will be right (as if I didn't already know). Sigh. He presents an interesting delima.

I might be getting a second job at a law office as a receptionist. Which is nice, b/c the whole shelving thing has really messed my arms up. They are all sore and bruised and it hurts to write notes.

So I'm gonna get back to studing the early years of Nazi power and talking with Tom.

Yay!! This is the coolest thing ever. Its a visual thesaurus. In fact, I think it's so cool, I've added a link in my link section. It takes a little while to load, so be patient...

Tom's the absolute best... now back to my Hum essay....

Wow. It's Valentine's Day. Not really sure what else to say. Today is going to be such a busy day, I'll be lucky if I talk to Thomas at all..... School (for one class!) run home to take dad to the airport, speed over to work, got to Bower's Kidseum until five, come home to shower and change, and then drive down to south county to go to a movie with the small group (I think its funny that all of us except for the brand new lady are without dates). Wow.... this sounds like a Day out of the Life of Beverly, it's so busy :).

Gotta run.... Happy Valentine's Day......

Every man ought to be inquisitive through every hour of his great adventure down to the day when he shall no longer cast a shadow in the sun. For if he dies without a question in his heart, what excuse is there for his continuance?
- Frank Moore Colby, 1865 - 1925

I knew that Columbia blew up upon re-entry, somewhere over Texas yesterday. I read it in Beverly's blog, and then sort of dismissed it.

But in this mornings paper, I am forced to reexamine this tragedy that I didn't think of as a tragedy. There were seven people on Columbia.

My life is not so bad. I am deeply in love and I have food to eat and a place to live. And I am alive.
